* Australian Leadership Awards - regional scholarships for the Asia-Pacific region focused on developing future leaders
* an Australian Development Scholarship program that increasingly addresses skill shortages and helps achieve a critical mass of Australian-trained scholars in important developing country institutions
* the Department of Education, Science and Training's Endeavour Program.

Australian Scholarships address issues of mutual interest such as economic and social development, education, governance, transnational crime and security, emerging infectious diseases, trade and clean energy.
